History
Schwegman's Cleaner's can trace it's history back to 1952 with Wayne
Schwegman opening the original dry cleaning plant in downtown Willmar,
Minnesota. It was following the Korean War that the Schwegman family
decided to enter the dry cleaning and laundry business. For the next 30
plus years, Wayne and his family established a solid reputation of
providing excellent dry cleaning service.
In 1985, Dan Sr. and Kathy Tollefson became owners of Schwegman's Cleaners
with the goal of building on the solid foundation and reputation of
Schwegman's and extending it to the greater Willmar area. Through
convenient same day dry cleaning service, free home and office pick up
and delivery, and drop-store locations, customers in west central
Minnesota can obtain outstanding dry cleaning and laundry service that
has made Schwegman's Cleaners the leader in cleaning services.
With the newest technologies in soaps and pressing
equipment, strengthened by experience that dates back decades,
Schwegman's Cleaners reputation as a top dry cleaner and
launderer continue today. Dan Tollefson Jr., who as a kid mopped
the floors at the plant, runs the family business. His twenty
plus years in the industries of dry cleaning and laundry will
